If you have been educated outside of the United States you must take special steps to apply for the CPA Exam. First, you must choose one of the fifty-four U.S. states and other jurisdictions in which to apply. Each state has different requirements in terms of citizenship, state residency, educational prerequisites and work experience. Trying to select the state that best matches your qualifications is time-consuming and costly if you do it on your own.
