The Navigation Bar
A short description of the menus under the Navigation bar in CPAexcel follows.
The 'Help' Menu
- Help Desk - Problem? Post questions on a message board monitored by CPAexcel technical support staff.
- Reference - Documents describing the features of the software.
- Online Tutorial - A 25 minute tutorial of CPAexcel broken into 1-2 minute topics
- About - Find out which version of CPAexcel you are using
The 'Go' Menu
- Message Center - Visit the CPAexcel forums for study tips, self study discussions and interaction with fellow CPAexcel users.
- Pop Quizzes - Browse the Pop Quiz archive.
- CPAexcel.com - Visit the CPAexcel website.
The 'Tools' Menu
Depending on your access, the Tools menu provides a link to your Student Gradebook or the suite of Instructor Tools.
The 'Publish' Menu
Selecting Publish when at the lesson level will print a formatted booklet that contains the study text, EQs and PQs for the current lesson. The answer key and rationales are printed on a separate page.
The 'View' Menu
- Lesson Home - This menu item will only funtion when at the Lesson level of the courseware and will return you to the Lesson Overview.
- Fonts - Select small, medium or large for the font size in the content panel and the table of contents.
- My Account - Edit your account information.
The 'Scores' Menu
Note: The Scores menu is only available in the Offline version of CPAexcel
- Syncronize - The 'sync' tool will automatically compare the scores and dates of all your work in CPAexcel Offline with those saved in your Online version. If the Sync tool finds scores in one version that do not appear in the other version, it will update both with all new information.
Among the benefits of frequent syncing:

Syncing frequently will keep your software up to date by notifying you when new courseware or software enhancements are available.

Syncing allows CPAexcel to gather statistics anonymously. We use these anonymous statistics to improve the software and provide useful information that helps guide your study strategy e.g. the 'Average Total Study Time for All Students' in the Lesson Overview may help determine how long you spend on a particular lesson.

Syncing allows the Seminar Instructors to view your grades.

Syncing frequently ensures you always have a recent backup of all your work.
