I surprised myself with a 98 in REG!

"As an auditor, I was most intimidated by the Regulation section of the CPA exam, with its heavy income tax emphasis. I deal with income taxes as they relate to financial statements, but I generally do not prepare tax returns for anyone except myself. In addition, my university tax coursework had dealt almost exclusively with individual taxation; I had never taken a class that went in depth on corporate, partnership, or estate taxation. I relied on CPAexcel to refresh my memory on individual taxation issues and to educate me on entity-related tax issues. The U.S. federal tax code encompasses so many topics, yet I was pleasantly surprised to see that CPAexcel had boiled the main topics down to a relatively small number of study units. The study units themselves were manageable in length and logically organized. They contained clear and concise explanations of matters that had previously seemed much more complex to me. For example, CPAexcel brought together all the major issues related to federal taxation of property transactions in only two study units. I also appreciated the brief but very useful summary unit comparing S corporations to partnerships and C corporations. The proficiency questions and past exam questions were great practice for all the areas covered by the exam. The fact that CPAexcel allowed me to practice past exam questions using the CPA exam interface made me very comfortable with the interface of the actual exam. With the help of CPAexcel, I surprised myself with a 98 in REG!"
