John E. Karayan is Professor and Chair of the Department of Accounting and IT at Woodbury University in Burbank, California. Formerly a senior executive with a New York Stock Exchange-listed high tech multinational, Professor Karayan is a tax attorney with a "Big 8" CPA firm background. John retired from professional practice to teach 20 years ago, but has remained active outside academia as an expert witness on accounting and tax issues in complex business litigation, and as a management consultant to entrepreneurs in both the public and private sectors. Professor Karayan was also formerly a Professor of Business at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and has authored numerous articles; his three most recent books are Strategic Corporate Tax Planning, State and Local Taxation: Principles and Planning, and Wealth Forever: the Analytics of Stock Markets.

Claire Kamm Latham is Associate Professor of Accounting at Washington State University where she teaches Intermediate Accounting, Accounting Information Systems and Auditing. Professor Latham received her BS from Rutgers University and PhD from Georgia State University.
